About
The artwork features a pixel-art pine tree inspired by the one in the centre of the square. It leans slightly, just like the real tree, which has been mostly cut back with only the top remaining. The gradient blues in the background create the feeling of a distant sky — a subtle ombré that adds depth and atmosphere to the piece. The square itself takes its name from this pine tree, which served as an important landmark for travellers heading toward the city in medieval times.
